Your Dental Benefits
DENIS manages sustainable dental benefits on behalf of Enablemed clients.
Dental benefits are divided into Conservative Dentistry, Specialised Dentistry, and Hospitalisation/Anaesthetics.
Please refer to the Enablemed (Malcor Plan D) dental benefit table below for a summary of the dental benefits offered by your selected benefit option.

Conservative dentistry is also known as basic or routine dentistry. It involves the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of tooth and gum diseases as well as the repair of defective teeth.
The following treatments and procedures form part of conservative dentistry:
- Consultations
- Oral hygiene, i.e. scale and polish
- Preventative care for younger patients, i.e. fissure sealants and fluoride treatment
- Fillings
- Intra-oral and extra-oral X-rays
- Root canal treatment
- Extractions
- Plastic dentures* (*Pre-authorisation is required)
*Authorisation is required before treatment starts

Specialised dentistry (also known as advanced dentistry) involves the replacement of teeth or the repair of badly damaged teeth in cases where a filling (conservative dentistry) would not be adequate.
The following form part of specialised dentistry in general:
• Partial chrome cobalt frame dentures (Malcor Plan D - no benefit)
• Crowns & bridgework (Malcor Plan D - no benefit)
• Orthodontics (Malcor Plan D - no benefit)
• Periodontics (Malcor Plan D - no benefit)
• Maxillo-facial surgery in dental chair (for drainage of abscess)

Certain dental procedures (i.e. extensive dental treatment) might require moderate/deep sedation at your dentist or even general anaesthetics (GA) in hospital (for PMB admissions only).
Authorisation is required before treatment starts.
